Kitchen Numbers: A Happening
In the morning three people will count all of their kitchen supplies. Kitchen supplies mean everything in the kitchen except for food. Plates, utensils, appliances, etc. If they have a huge pack of napkins they can count it as 1, i.e. 1 package of napkins OR they may count each napkin individually [might require lots of motivation].
Once they have found the number they should display it prominently on themselves. Possible ways to display: face paint it onto their forehead or cheeks, use masking tape to make the number on the front and back of shirts, make buttons with the number on it and wear on outer layer of clothing.
After this stage the three people are ready to go about their day. In this day they will only respond to people who call them by their number. If they really need to talk to someone who’s only calling them by there socially accepted name they may respond with, “are you talking to me” followed by an explanation of the fact that they can only respond to their number for the day.
